Orchestra Baboma was formed in London in 1991 by Congolese musicians Fiston and Risa (formerly of Orchestra Virunga), alongside players from Tanzania and the UK, Baboma was a truly multicultural ensemble united by a love of Congolese Rumba.
Here is a single from the full album we released earlier this year, we honor the band in the same way they used to do it back in the day on original congolese singles, with a part 1 and part 2 of one of the hottest tune. This is a lathe cut and comes limited to 25 copies. It’s individually numbered on the back.
